The Purpose of The T2CHK Message Board
These
guidelines are lengthy, but we feel that it is imperative that you read
and understand them before participating on the T2CHK message board.
Sylvia Britton under the authority and headship of her husband, Mark, has been called to extend grace to all
women and to teach women to love their husbands and children and to be
keepers of their homes according to the mandate of Titus 2. Therefore,
Titus 2 Christian Homekeepers is dedicated to uplifting the Name of
Jesus Christ to the glory of God while teaching women who desire a
closer relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and who need
encouragement and/or help in maintaining a godly household.
~~~~~~~~
We
hope to partially accomplish this by offering a forum where ideas and
thoughts can be exchanged and to offer teaching and offer
accountability from older godly women who have been called by the Lord
to teach in this format.
We are very excited to have you as part
of the T2CHK Message Board! Our hope and prayer is that we can minister
to you and encourage you on your journey as you seek to become the
Woman God intends you to be. We offer many different helps and tools
for you to use both on the message board and on the T2CHK Website. And in addition you can glean from the combined knowledge and wisdom of the older Christian women on our board.
The
T2CHK Message Board is not an open platform for members to teach
theology or doctrine unless invited to do so by the Administrator.
Because the T2CHK Ministry has been entrusted to its administrators by
God, we are very cautious about the teachings we present. All teachings
and studies that are offered by the T2CHK Ministry must first be
approved by the Board of Directors.
General Rules and Information
Hours of Operation:
The
Titus 2 Christian Homekeeper Message Board will be open 24 hours a day
Monday through Thursday. The board will be closed from 10 pm eastern
time Friday evenings until 10 pm eastern time Sunday evenings. Our
hope is that this will encourage you to spend time worshipping the Lord
and that it will give our moderators time off to worship and fellowship
with their friends and families.
T2CHK Is Not A Church
Since
we are not a Church, nor do we function as a church, we do not
discipline our members for sin. We will address sin in our members
lives if it is opened up for conversation by that member and we will do
it in private. We will hold our members accountable for their walk and
lives only to the extent that they have allowed. We will always extend
grace and prayer for our members and we hope our members will pray for
us too! Please remember that as a member you may not be fully aware of
what the Administrators are doing and the ministering and moving of God
behind the scenes and in the lives of other members.
You Must Post To Remain On The Membership List
The
Titus 2 Christian Homekeeper Message Board is an interactive ministry.
You must participate in order to maintain an active membership. You
should be posting at least once every three weeks and participating in
the conversations. If you find that this is too often for you to post,
please let Karen know and she can delete your membership. You are
welcome to come back and rejoin at any time. If your membership is
deleted because you have not been posting you may reapply at any time.
You Must Use Your "Real" first name when registering:
We require our members to add their "real" first names to their signatures or manually to each post.
We Reserve The Right....
The
Administrators reserve the right to delete or ban any member from
posting if they deem that the member is violating any of the rules,
move and edit posts and make decisions to preserve the integrity of the
board.
Be Our Guest....
We ask you to remember that you are a guest on our board.
We
are listening and following the direction of the Lord God in all of our
endeavors. We are open to comment and critique, however we will not
compromise the content of the board or the board rules.
Emergency Contact:
Sylvia, Karen are available via email in case of emergencies.
"I've registered for the board, but it still won't let me post!"
When
registering for board membership, all new members must be approved
before being allowed to post on the board. We have chosen to have an
administrator manually review and approve all applicants (namely to
eliminate spammers). So please be patient, we should get you approved
soon.
The Titus 2 Christian Homekeeper Message Board Posting Guidelines
*Please
adhere to the following guidelines. Your post may be edited or deleted
if you do not. Repeated violations will be cause for banning. It is
your responsibility to read these guidelines and understand them before
posting. If you are posting, we assume that you have read and
understand the Board Guidelines and we will require you to obey the
rules while you are on the board.
Keep
the conversation holy, pure and worthy of God's women. Please keep the
conversation on track in each forum as much as possible. We ask that
you use these scriptural principles when posting on this board. They
are the principles that we as moderators hold each other to and we hope
that you will follow them too:
Ephesians
4:29 - "Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but
that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace
unto the hearers."
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 - "Charity suffereth
long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is
not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is
not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but
rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things,
hopeth all things, endureth all things."
Galatians 5:22-26 -
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering,
gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there
is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the
affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the
Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory,provoking one another,
envying one another."
Please Show Respect for the Authority of the T2CHK Administrators and Moderators
Please
be respectful and polite to your moderators and administrators. These
ladies give a lot of their time, study and prayer on your behalf and
they love you very much!
"Obey your leaders
and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as
those who will have to give an account. Let them do this with joy and
not with groaning, for that would be of no advantage to you." Hebrews
13:17
***How to discuss Controversial Topics on the T2CHK Message Board***
The T2CHK Ministry is a Grace Based Ministry.
We extend grace and welcome women from all Orthodox Christian belief
systems and denominations. We also expect you to do so on the T2CHK
board.
About Convictions...
Please, please, do not
insist that your personal convictions are to be held by every
Christian. And be careful in how you present your beliefs. Consider not
only your convictions but, more importantly, the hearts and minds of those who are reading.
We
believe that God does require things of some of His children that He
does not require of others. The area of conviction includes but is not
limited to headcoverings, women in the work place, dresses only for
women, long uncut hair, vegetarianism, veganism, home churching,
Sabbath keeping, Jewish holiday observance, and homeschooling.
There
is ample room in the Body of Christ for all godly convictions, and we
expect you as a member of T2CHK to share your convictions gently and
sweetly, without judgment or condescention. 1 Cor. 8:9 - But take care that this right of yours does not somehow become a stumbling block to the weak.
Don't
go on and on trying to convince someone of your own convictions. Just
share them if you feel so inclined and let God speak.
Discussing God's Word
Discussion about God's Word invariably leads to disagreement and debate over doctrine. This is not what we are called to at Titus 2 Christian Homekeeper and
it can easily overshadow our purpose of teaching women to love their
children and husbands and be keepers of their homes. However, we
acknowledge the fact that very often our beliefs about doctrine and
theology will have some effect on how we live our lives as women and
make the choices we are asked to make in life.
For this
reason, we ask you to remember all of our rules regarding convictions
and gentleness when discussing doctrine and theology. Violation of
these rules will result in deletion or editing of your post and may
result in a board time-out in which you will be asked to refrain from
posting for a short period of time.
The "Do-Not's" of the T2CHK Message Board Guidelines
There are no exceptions to these Rules. Posts that violate these rules will be deleted or edited without explanation:
* Please, do not post links to other message boards or Chat Rooms on The Titus 2 Christian Homekeeper Message Board.
* Please, do not advertise another message board or chat room in your signature or profile.
* Please, do not recommend any specific drugs or medications to others. You may suggest specific herbal remedies.
* Please, do not advertise business sites in your signature or in your personal profile, this includes your own business.
* Please, do not criticize your husband or any one else's husband.
* Please, do not make your husband (or any one else's husband) seem
small or unkind in the eyes of others. God's Word is plain on this
topic: "She brings him good and not harm all the days of his
life...."Proverbs 31:12.
We
do realize that situations are frequently very difficult between
husbands and wives. We care about you and your struggles and want to
help you if we can. If you are in doubt about whether or not to post
something about your husband or marriage, please email Karen and ask.
*Please,
do not criticize or bash any particular denomination. We minister to
women of all denominations at T2CHK, please think about who may be
reading before posting. You may relay facts that you can back up but
please refrain from identifying particular denominations when sharing
opinions.
