Well, we are halfway through dh’s week away. Ugh, it’s so horrible that I can’t stand it. The days are okay, as it just seems like he is at work. It’s the nights that are terrible. The bed seems so large and empty. I really don’t know how wives who are married to military men or a man that travels regularly do it. I feel horrible about whining that he is away for one week when these women do without their spouses for months or years at a time. When I getting especially grumpy about it, I try to put myself in their shoes, and it makes it a tad bit easier.
Okay, done with my whine for today.

**Hi all, my MIL just called, and SIL is out of surgery. He said it went really well. They did not find any tears, but she did have significant arthritis in the knee. She was still pretty out of it, but was waking up. Thanks to all who prayed for her!**
She is having surgery tomorrow on her knee to tighten up her ligaments. They are not sure if there is a tear, either. She is only 25, and has been having so many problems with it. MIL just called and said they have to be there at 6am. So I am thinking she is first case. Thank you so much for praying for my family!

Since dh is away, I thought I’d pass some of the time by finally posting some pictures from our vacation. I hope you enjoy seeing them as much as I enjoyed taking them. I really love my new camera, too!
According to dh, this place has the best buffalo chicken cheesesteaks.

**Updated again: Dh is now safely on the ground in Chihuahua, Mex…….me, I am a blubbering mess. Sigh, AF must be getting ready to show up or something. Off to bawl at Wedding Crashers.
**UPDATED: Dh has finally landed safely in Dallas after a two hour delay. He has 2 hours until his connecting flight to Mexico, which, at the time of this update, is still on time. Please keep praying for his safety, but especially for me, as I am not taking this well at all!
Dh is leaving tomorrow again to go to Mexico for work. He will not be back until Saturday, July 5th. I am asking for prayers for his safety, of course. And, for myself, as he is my rock and I feel very vulnerable without him! Thank you!

The suitcases are airing out, laundry is awaiting it’s placement, and empty bags sit waiting to be filled. You have to love all the preparation that goes into getting ready for a trip! But I love it, and wouldn’t have it any other way! The trip is bittersweet, though. I want it to be here, but at the same time, when it’s over, dh leaves for Mexico again. Sigh……….

We saw the GI doc yesterday(well, the nurse practitioner), and while they don’t think it’s anything serious, we have decided to do a colonoscopy. Given Pap’s history of colon cancer, we felt it is a prudent move to do this testing. Soooo, on July 30th, dh will have his “special photo session”. Please keep us in your prayers. He is still having pain off and on, so they have given us a prescription medication to try. They think the pain is just smooth muscle contractions(most likely irritation, they think he might have a slight infection in his bowel, even though his bloodwork is normal), so we are going to try this for a few weeks until his testing. The big goose could of had it done on June 30th, but he just has to go to Mexico. Sigh.
